About the role
You will be responsible for the coordination of Back to Base program at the Melbourne Clinical School. You will ensure the seamless delivery of medical education by providing pastoral care and support to the students, and identifying students who require follow up through the National School to provide such support.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing Back to Base timetables and monitoring student attendance, coordinating with the Administration Officer, and the Head of School.
- Coordinating Back to Base days including sourcing and providing guidance to visiting expert lecturers.
- Undertaking teaching duties at sessions including Clinical skills teaching, supervising Short Case Tutorials, Journal Club and Clinical Debriefing Tutorials as well as conducting Grand Rounds.
- Liaison with the relevant Discipline Leaders to ensure the consistent delivery of the Back to Base curriculum.
- Participating in OSCE planning and delivery, student assessment and examinations.
Qualifications, skills & experience
- Possession of a Medical qualification and registration with AHPRA and a Fellowship of a relevant professional body or significant progress towards.
- Experience in teaching at undergraduate or postgraduate level or higher in medical, health or professional practice-based education settings.
- An understanding of the Objects of the University, and its Values in the provision of medical education within the context of Catholic Healthcare and University Education
